About Gudibande or Gudibanda Fort:

Gudibande Fort was built by local chieftain Byre Gowda some 400 odd years ago in the 17th century. It can be said as a concise replica of the Madhugiri fort. The fort has seven levels with interconnecting escape routes which would help soldiers to flee in case of emergency. On the top of the fort is a Shiva temple, which is believed to be one of the 108 Jyotirlingas. Narasimhaswamy Temple is sort of a cave temple hewn out a huge rock (the name Gudibande to the town came this: gudi = temple, Banda = rock)

Time to Trek: 30 mins at Avalabetta and 1 hour at Gudibande one way.
Altitude: Gudibande  826 m (2,710 ft)

Day Plan:

• Start Early from Bangalore by 6:00 AM.
• Stop for breakfast and pack lunch. (FYI: no food available at the location, get your own snacks and water)
• We do a short stop at Byrasagara Reservoir, enroute to Gudibande we will get a beautiful reservoir, we take a short pit stop and spend some time, click few pictures and continue towards the Gudibande Fort.
• Reach the base and start your hike to reach the top of the hill.  Trail goes through beautiful lush green path covered with bushes on both sides.
• Hike for an hour approx. to reach the top of the fort where it welcomes us with beautiful views.
• We grab a place and enjoy our lunch with the views
• Post this we start our return journey

• Transport to and from Bangalore
• Any required permissions and advance permit to be taken in advance
• Meals: 1 Breakfast 1 packed Lunch

Any cancellation by you must be made in writing and be acknowledged by the Company in writing. The date on which the request to cancel is received by the Company or its representative will determine the cancellation fees applicable.

Cancellation 30-20 days or more before departure: 25% deduction of cost of services booked

Cancellation 15 days before departure: 50% deduction of cost of services booked

Cancellation 10 or less before departure: 100% deduction of cost of services booked

For the flight, train tickets, taxi booked along with the trip being cancelled, the cancellation policy of the airline and railways will apply.
